Off-duty police officer saves lives of two people off Rosebud Pier

An off-duty officer has saved two people from dire circumstances after they drifted away from Rosebud Pier on Sunday.
Senior Constable Frank Ferreria was walking near the pier at about 4:10pm, springing into action after noticing two people struggling in the water.
Constable Ferreria entered the water fully clothed, dragging the 31-year-old man and 15-year-old boy to safety.

“The ambulance told us that (the two individuals) would have lost their lives if it had not been for Frank’s action,” he said.
