Olympic Doughnuts in Footscray is closing down

Iconic Footscray doughnuts store Olympic Doughnuts is shutting up shop for good.

Nick Tsiligiris has been serving hot jam doughnuts at the Footscray Station store for four decades. 

Mr Tsiligiris’ daughter Gina Hasapis tells 3AW Breakfast her father isn’t well enough to keep it going. 

‘As a kid it was pretty cool having a doughnuts shop, working there, working with the family,’ she tells Ross and John.

‘Dad became one with the community.’
