Ombudsman takes aim at ‘confusing’ telco practices
Telecommunications companies are providing “confusing information” to customers and consumer protections “aren’t fit for purpose”, according to a new Telecommunications Ombudsman report.
Telecommunications Ombudsman Cynthia Gerbert told Neil Mitchell the current system is “not working for real life humans”.
She says confusing bills, difficult cancellation processes and poor sales practices are among the concerning behaviours conducted by telecommunications providers.
