Shane McInnes has questioned the direction Australia Post is heading on the back of a horror story from one 3AW listener.

3AW Afternoons was told of one example, where a delivery driver opted to take a parcel to a collection centre, rather than leave it outside as instructed.

It comes as Australia Post continues to close down stores as the way parcels are delivered changes.

“Australia Post is designed to be a delivery service,” Shane said on 3AW.

“It’s countless the amount of times we hear that people receive a parcel collection notice where no attempt has been made to deliver the parcel.”
