One dead in fiery smash on Glenelg Highway, Tarrington
A man has been killed, a teenager has been seriously injured and a truck driver is yet to be located, after a horror crash in the state’s south-west this morning.
The four-wheel-drive and semi-trailer crashed on the Glenelg Highway at Tarrington, near Hamilton, soon after 6am.
The truck burst into flames on impact.
Police have confirmed the driver of the four-wheel-drive died at the scene.
His teenage passenger has been flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.
Police are yet to locate the truck driver.
The Glenelg Highway is closed in both directions.
The cause of the crash is not yet clear.
