One person dies after crash in Charlton

One person has died in a crash on the Calder Highway at Charlton in the state’s north-west.

Two vehicles collided shortly after 2pm, with one of the cars bursting into flames.

Two men believed to be aged in their 50’s were treated by paramedics at the scene, one for an arm injury and the other for a rib injury.

Both are in a stable condition.

Another person is still being assessed at the scene.
