One retail legend is convinced Australians are being ‘misled’ on nuclear power

Retail legend Dick Smith has come out swinging against skeptics on nuclear power, saying Australians are currently being “mislead” about its benefits.

Opposition leader Peter Dutton has recently launched his nuclear plan, in stark contrast to Prime Minister’s stance on nuclear.

Amid the current debate, Mr Smith told Heidi Murphy it was crucial to recognise the benefits of nuclear power compared to other renewables.

“We are being mislead about it,” Dick Smith said on 3AW.

“I consider nuclear to be the Rolls-Royce of power generation.”
