‘Out of control’: Calls for urgent action on taxi and rideshare services in Victoria

Rogue elements of the taxi and rideshare sector in Victoria are “out of control” and urgent government action is needed, says the leader of the Transport Matters Party.

3AW has been flooded with complaints in recent weeks from customers who claim they’ve been ripped off, been forced to negotiate exorbitant fares and even been charged for rides they never took.

“There has been a lot of very mischievous actions going on, but this has been a failure of government,” Rod Barton said.
