‘Out of touch’: Senior police officer left incensed by treasurer’s pay deal comments
A long-serving police officer has been left “pretty disappointed” with state treasurer Tim Pallas’ comments as pay tensions continue to simmer.
Mr Pallas escalated tensions on Friday amid the ongoing pay dispute, threatening to take the police force to the Fair Work Commission if a deal can’t be reached.

“The Treasurer’s comments are reprehensible,” Shane McInnes said on 3AW Drive.
Sharon (not her real name) told 3AW she feels disrespectful by Mr Pallas’ “out of touch” remarks.

“We’re pretty disappointed with the comments that were made this morning,” she said.
“They’re pretty disrespectful and he’s definitely out of touch.”
