‘Overjoyed’: Heartwarming update on nine-year-old Demons fan from Ukraine

The family of a nine-year-old Ukrainian boy are overjoyed by the news he’ll be receiving a copy of last night’s Demons match against Collingwood as well as a video from his favourite player, Max Gawn.

Vice-president of the Ukranian World Congress and co-chair of the Australia Federation of the Ukrainian Organisations. Stefan Romaniv, says he’s hoping they can get the Demon’s next match played live.

“Hopefully next Friday … when the game will be on, we’re suggesting – maybe through the mayor or through the school – beam the game over there and the children can watch the game,” he told Neil Mitchell.
