Owners of historic Portarlington hotel move to buy a local motel

The owners of a historic Bellarine Peninsula hotel are in negotiations to buy a motel in the area to house staff.

“Down on the Bellarine there’s a shortage of rooms for visitors so to diversify a bit we looked at the Portarlington Beach Motel … we’re still in negotiations to buy it,” he told Ross and Russel.
“It gives us the opportunity to offer accommodation to staff who would like to come down and become part of the team down there, so we’ve decided to do that.”
