A 20-year-old P-plater is expected to be charged on summons after being caught driving a severely damaged four wheel drive in Melbourne’s outer east.

The Mount Evelyn man told officers he’d rolled the vehicle on an unsealed track prior to being intercepted near Healesville on Saturday.

Leading Senior Constable at Victoria Police, Adam West, said it was one of the more “extreme examples” police had come across on the roads on the long weekend.
