Paralympian Emma Booth tells Denis Walter about getting back in the saddle

Emma Booth’s life was turned upside down by a car accident in 2013.

Having ridden horses since the age of 11, Emma had her eyes trained on the top. But serious injuries sustained in the crash left her paraplegic.

Incredibly, Emma was back in the saddle just six months later, and by 2016, she was representing Australia at the Rio Paralympics.

She told Denis Walter she couldn’t have achieved it without the support of her family.

‘It was difficult having to deal with the fact that I wouldn’t be able to walk again, but getting back in the saddle gave me something to look forward to,’ she said.
