A parent whose child witnessed the vicious bashing of a year seven student at Melton Secondary College, says bashings at the high school are a weekly occurrence.

*Melissa, says teachers can’t step in, and students allegedly group up to target other students.

“It doesn’t matter what’s happening in the playground, seriously what can a year seven say to a person, that would be that horrifying that needs that type of reaction,” she told Tom Elliott.

Press PLAY to hear what happened

She’s also pushed for the Education Department to step in.

Victoria Police have confirmed they’re investigating the assault and have identified 10 students were involved.
