Parents petition against ‘detrimental’ unisex bathroom at children’s school

Parents at Clifton Springs Primary School have started a petition against a new unisex bathroom that has replaced separate toilets, leaving children to share three female, three male, and two unisex cubicles.

Chelsea, a parent, says children have expressed discomfort, and some have even refused to go to the toilet while at school.

She told Neil Mitchell the “most concerning” element is the glass exterior wall of the bathroom, as well as the glass door, as the grounds behind the school are a public walking trail.
