Parents reminded lifesavers ‘aren’t babysitters’
Parents are being reminded lifesavers aren’t baby sitters as concern grows about parents not supervising their children in public swimming spaces.
Ally Rasmussen, duty manager at Dandenong Oasis, told 3AW Drive while many parents were great, there were countless examples of parents not watching their children in the water while they scrolled on their phone, spoke with others and even used computers.
“It is a bit frustrating, I won’t lie to you,” she said.
