At least one Melbourne girls school has warned parents and students about a man seen taking photos of young girls leaving the school.

3AW Drive revealed Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Burwood, had asked parents to be extra vigilant.

Police have been alerted.

The school sent parents the following statement.

“Please be aware that yesterday a man was seen at dismissal time taking photographs of our students on Elgar Road. Staff asked him to leave.”

“We have alerted the police. Other similar incidents in a nearby area have been reported by another school.”

“Supervision and duty of care of our students is a priority. We ask that parents be extra vigilant at pick up time. Thank you for your attention to this message.”
