Paris attacks: Melbourne cafe operator Di Keser returns a ‘broken person’
A prominent Melbourne cafe operator has shelved plans to open a Paris cafe and is returning home a ‘broken person’.
Di Keser, who runs Hardware Societe in Hardware Lane, was due to have dinner in the area of terror attacks on Friday night, but stayed home.
‘(I’m) feeling grateful we had leftovers in the fridge,’ she told Ross and John.
‘It’s heartbreaking. I’m a broken person,’ she said of the terror attacks.
Ms Keser was days away from opening a new cafe in Paris.
But that venture is now on the backburner.
‘(It’s) not a good time. Bringing staff from Australia, I don’t want to put anyone at risk,’ she said.
