Parking inspectors caught targeting Moomba Festival attendees

Parking inspectors have been caught targeting and booking people parking near the Moomba Festival.

Those who chose to park their car on Alexandra Avenue were seen being booked, despite the meters being covered up on the public holiday.

“I was walking down to Moomba and noticed parking inspecting booking almost every single car in a row,” Jamie told 3AW Drive.

Deputy lord mayor Nicholas Reece clarified what happened, saying there were special Moomba Festival parking permits which motorists needed to pay attention to.
