Parliament House evacuated in Melbourne

Parliament House was evacuated on Wednesday.

But it was all a false alarm.

All those inside the Spring Street building were instructed to leave shortly before 3pm after alarms went off.

Parliament was sitting at the time.

It soon emerged nothing was wrong.

Debate resumed shortly after.
