Parts of inner Melbourne flooded on Wednesday afternoon, as heavy rain caused havoc across the city.

Rolling rain bands hit Melbourne’s CBD, while the temperature also plummeted to below nine degrees.

Jacqui Felgate also reported parts of Docklands were “completely underwater” as a result of a king tide, while bar Ponyfish Island was also flooded.

“This weather should be a prompt for everyone to slow down (on the roads),” Department of Transport’s Chris Miller told 3AW Drive.
