Passengers on board cruise ship struck down with gastro
CONFIRMED: A number of passengers on board a cruise ship docked in Melbourne have been struck down with gastro.
This morning, ‘Ship Situation’ told the 3AW Rumour File a large cruise passenger ship due to dock in Melbourne had an outbreak of the norovirus.
In a statement to the media, Celebrity Cruises confirmed there had been 18 reported cases of gastro-intestinal illness symptoms on the Celebrity Solstice ship, which is carrying 3000 passengers.
The ship, the Celebrity Solstice, is due to depart Melbourne this evening.
