‘Pathetic’: Jacqui Felgate blasts ‘reactionary’ machete ban
Jacqui Felgate has blasted the “reactionary” machete ban announced by Premier Jacinta Allan this morning following the chaos which unfolded at Northland Shopping Centre on Sunday.
Machetes will be banned from sale in Victoria from Wednesday, but the 3AW Drive host stated “it shouldn’t take knife-wielding gangs terrifying shoppers for the government to act”.
“The spin that surrounds this I think is pathetic,” Felgate said.

“It is reactionary politics at best. At worst, it shows the government lied about the time it would take to implement such a ban.
“This announcement is heavy on rhetoric and thin on information.”
