Paul Daniel appeals Wellington Rd speeding fine and wins

Tom Elliott

Paul Daniel has had a win in court after appealing a speeding fine he received in February.

He was travelling on the Wellington Road Bridge when he was clocked at 110 kilometres an hour and fined 185 dollars.

‘I was willing to fight tooth and nail, all the way to the high court just to prove I wasn’t speeding.’

Paul had been hearing media reports about the speed camera on Wellington Road Bridge, so as they drove past he asked his father to check his speed.

‘He laughed and said ‘Yep, you’re right’ and that’s how I knew I wasn’t speeding.’
