Despite blaming him for her stint in jail, Pauline Hanson has praised former PM Tony Abbott, even asking him to launch her new book.

The senator told Neil Mitchell the pair have “mended their ways” as she launches her book Pauline : In her own words today.

“I think that Tony Abbott has a lot to offer,” Hanson said.

“I think Tony Abbott has maybe learnt a lot from his first time around and would come back as a stronger and better Prime Minister.

“People just feel that Malcolm Turnbull isn’t the strong leader that they’re crying out for.”

The Senator was also full of praise for other Liberal Party members, saying Peter Dutton “would make a very good Prime Minister” and she has high regard for Michaelia Cash, Mattias Cormann and Julie Bishop.

“I’m yet to find anyone in Labor that I feel the same way about,” she said.

“I have no hope or trust in Bill Shorten to lead this country.”
