Australia’s peak IT body is today launching reports offering businesses support on responsible and legal use of artificial intelligence.

CEO of the Australian Information Industry Association, Simon Bush, says only a third of Australians trust AI, and only 35 per cent of people think there are enough safeguards on the technology.

“The reason why we released this report is … we think it’s really important w should be leading in how the economy adopts it,” he told Ross and Russel.

“We all know about scamming and how pervasive it is, and we are concerned these technology could be used in a new way going forward … in a bad way.”
