‘Peanuts’: How to fix the shortage of lollipop people

There are calls for government intervention to help solve the shortage of lollipop people outside schools.

At least 15 councils are hunting for lollipop people, with some school crossings going unsupervised.

Stephen Jolly, City of Yarra councillor, said the reason was simple.

“They’re paid peanuts,” he said.
