Pedestrian fighting for life after being struck on Hoddle Street

A man is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a black Nissan X-Trail in Richmond.

The 54-year-old man was crossing Hoddle Street between Victoria and Elizabeth streets at about 7.30pm when he was hit.

He’s now in a critical condition.

The driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old woman stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.
