Pensioner advocates ‘deeply disappointed’ by budget inaction
Pensioner advocates have expressed frustration and disappointment after the government didn’t tweak income rules that would allow the “grey army” to help fill worker shortages.
They were hopeful the federal government would change thresholds that would allow pensioners back to work without impacting their payments.
But it didn’t happen.
“I’m deeply disappointed,” Ian Henschke, Chief Advocate with National Seniors Australia, told Neil Mitchell.
