People need to be better informed on thunderstorm asthma, says Melbourne professor
Nearly half of the people who were victims of last year’s thunderstorm asthma had never been diagnosed with the lung condition.
An Asthma Australia survey also found only a quarter knew the appropriate first aid measures.
The Royal Melbourne’s Professor Jo Douglas told Ross and John people need to be better informed.
‘We know that Asthma can occur at any time in people’s lifes, it’s not just a childhood disease,’ she said on 3AW Breakfast.
