‘Perfect storm’ creates childcare crisis in Australia
A “perfect storm” of factors has created Australia’s childcare crisis, with thousands of parents forced to stay home from work to look after theirs because there simply is any childcare available for them.
Paul Mondo, President of the Australian Childcare Alliance, told Tom Elliott securing a spot at an affordable price was increasingly difficult.
“There is an increasing demand for the service, while losing those already qualified in the sector for a number of different reasons,” he said.
