Pete Ford lifts the lid on the big ‘dilemma’ facing one high-profile Melbourne show

Entertainment reporter Pete Ford said the producers of a major Melbourne production are facing a big dilemma with one of its stars.

Sunset Boulevard is currently playing at the Princess Theatre, with world-renowned Sarah Brightman starring as is lead.

But there’s only one problem – she hasn’t performed for over a week.

“She is still out of action,” Pete Ford told 3AW Breakfast.

“It’s a dilemma for the producers on what to do – do you keep on advertising that she’s there as part of the show when she hasn’t been performing for a long time?

“The ticket sales aren’t great for the show anyway and her continued absence is clearly not helping at all.”
