Federal opposition leader Peter Dutton has called on Israel to “destroy” and “deal with the threat” of Hamas as the war rages on in the Middle East.

Dutton hopes there can be an agreement between Israel and Hamas, but believes Hamas won’t change until Israel is wiped out.

“This is the extermination of a race,” Dutton told Neil Mitchell.

Dutton also “completely and utterly disagrees” with the planned school strike for Palestine which is scheduled for tomorrow in the city, labelling it an “indulgence and political statement”.

Neil Mitchell covered a range of different topics as well with the opposition leader, including the “human cost” of the road toll with reference to the death of SA Police Commissioner Grant Stevens’ son, his stance on anti-Semitism, his reaction to latest polling numbers and Anthony Albanese’s recent visit to China.
