Peter Dutton hits back at the Prime Minister’s public holiday push for the Matildas
Opposition leader Peter Dutton has hit back at Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s public holiday push if the Matilda’s win the Women’s World Cup, saying “it’s the wrong call”.
The Prime Minister believes a public holiday is warranted, and will be seeking support of all state and territory leaders.
But Mr Dutton says a day off would impose a $2 billion cost on business.
