Peter Dutton’s ‘very clever’ frontbench decision

Peter Dutton has announced a frontbench reshuffle.

The federal opposition leader has promoted NT Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price to the shadow cabinet, where she’ll take on the Indigenous Australians portfolio.

Neil Mitchell says it’s “a very clever move”.

Victorian senator James Paterson has also been promoted to the shadow cabinet, where he’s been assigned the home affairs portfolio. It comes after Karen Andrews announced earlier this morning that she would quit the opposition frontbench today and will not recontest her seat at the next election.
