SBS news anchor Lee Lee Chin winning this year’s Gold Logie would highlight how ‘silly’ the award has become, says Peter Ford.

The showbiz guru told Ross and John her nomination highlighted the power of social media in today’s world.

Lee Lee Chin has a cult following on Twitter, with a big push on to get her over the line as Australia’s ‘best’ television personality.

And Ford has jumped on board.

‘It would really just show up how silly the whole thing has become,’ he said.
