Brendan Fevola completed a tale of ‘redemption’ by winning I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!, says Peter Ford.

Fevola was crowned ‘King of the jungle’ on the reality TV show on Sunday night.

3AW Breakfast’s showbiz guru said the former AFL star won plenty of fans during the show because he provided more of an ’emotional journey’ than the other contestants.

‘From a TV point of view, I thought he provided the only emotional journey of all the contestants on the show,’ Ford said on 3AW.

‘He provided details about being in a mental health facility, going off the rails and his life being a mess.

‘I think that gave the show a depth that no other celebrity in there was providing.

‘That’s not to say they weren’t other worthy people, or interesting people, but they just didn’t have that extra dimension.’
