Peter Hitchener awarded an Order Of Australia Medal on Australia Day

3AW favourite Peter Hitchener has been awarded an Order of Australia Medal.

The Channel 9 news reader received the gong for his services to the broadcast media and the community.

‘I feel absolutely overwhelmed by the whole thing,’ he told Justin and John on 3AW Breakfast.
