Youth crime continues to be a major issue in Victoria, with pressure continuing to mount on the Allan-Labor government.

Premier of South Australia Peter Malinauskas joined 3AW Drive to discuss the major issue of youth crime and how his government is tackling the problem.

“We are constantly reviewing the bail laws, what we do around remand,” Malinauskas told Jacqui Felgate.

“We’ve got the toughest knife laws in the country, we’ve given our police wanding powers, which is not usually supported, it’s been a little bit controversial.

“We’re lucky in South Australia, our youth crime rates are comparatively quite low, we are doing a lot to tackle that.”
