Petition to stop ‘misleading’ farm from slaughtering animals

A petition to stop the Collingwood Children’s Farm from having its animals slaughtered has gathered thousands of signatures.

Shiana Harris told Tom Elliott the farm perpetuates the ‘unquestioning consumption’ of meat and dairy. 

‘The Collingwood Farm has been giving a misleading positive image of agricultural animal use,’ Ms Harris said.

She said we don’t need to eat meat to survive anymore.

But the farm’s manager remains committed to teaching children where their food comes from.
