Plan to run floating swimming pool in Melbourne’s Yarra River

A floating swimming pool is being planned for the Yarra River.

A not-for-profit group wants to build the $6 million floating pool next to Enterprize Park in the city.

Yarra Riverkeeper Andrew Kelly has welcomed the plan and promised the water would be cleaned up before anyone takes the plunge.

He says it’s a great idea.

‘On a hot day, I think it’d be perfect,’ he told Ross and John.

‘It’s an exciting concept.’
