The Rehmannia Elata or the The Empress is this week’s Plant of the Week.

It has large pink blooms from late spring through to autumn.

It’s easy to grow and fast growing. 

You will get best results when grown in rich, moist soil or containers using a good quality potting mix.

It will become herbaceous in cold regions during winter – any remaining, older foliage should be removed by late winter to tidy.

Mulch well to retain moisture during dry seasons and apply slow release fertiliser both in spring and late autumn to achieve best results.
