A father tells Neil Mitchell of his anxious wait following the Manchester terror attack

Tom Elliott

A father has told of his anxious wait to see his daughter following the Manchester attack.

Nick was waiting for his 16-year-old daughter, Caitlin, and her friend to finish at the concert when he heard the explosion.

He told Neil Mitchell he felt the rumble of the explosion in his chest and feared for his daughter’s safety.

“In the back of your mind.. You say, it’s happened,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

Nick said it was obviously a “huge relief” to know they were OK.
