A tiny Scottish town is trying to reunite Aussie cash stash with its owner

Ross and Russel

Scottish police have made a national plea for Australian tourists to check their wallets after finding a stash of cash in a tiny tourist town.

The money was found in a Money Travel Oz holder in the Biggar museum.

Turns out Biggar police don’t operate 24/7 so the curious Ross and John rang the person most likely to know more – the local publican.

The key question: How much is it?

“I’m not telling you that, I’m not telling you that in case someone else comes along!” Elaine from the Elphinstone Hotel in Biggar, said.

“All I’ll say is it’s a four-figure sum.”
