A tiny Scottish town is trying to reunite Aussie cash stash with its owner

Ross and Russel

Scottish police have made a national plea for Australian tourists to check their wallets after finding a stash of cash in a tiny tourist town.

The money was found in a Money Travel Oz holder in the Biggar museum.

Turns out Biggar police don’t operate 24/7 so the curious Ross and John rang the person most likely to know more – the local publican.

The key question: How much is it?

“I’m not telling you that, I’m not telling you that in case someone else comes along!”¬†Elaine from the Elphinstone Hotel in Biggar, said.

“All I’ll say is it’s a four-figure sum.”
