An exciting discovery Shackleton’s lost ship

Michael McLaren

Scientists have found one of the greatest ever undiscovered shipwrecks 107 years after it sank in Antarctica.

Endurance was crushed by sea ice and sank in 1915, which forced Shackleton and his men to make an incredible escape on foot, and all survived.

Dr John McCarthy, lecturer in maritime archaeology at Flinders University, talks to Michael McLaren about the discovery.
