Appointment of ex-Nationals MP to key water post “quite simply” passes pub test: Water Minister

Former New South Wales Deputy Premier, and Police Minister Troy Grant has been appointed as Interim Inspector General of the Murray Darling Basin.

The role aims to ensure strong accountability and compliance in the water act and the basin plan.

The Victorian and New South Wales Water Ministers have been critical of the process, saying they weren’t consulted about the appointment.
