Australia’s love-hate relationship with spiders

CSIRO says that Australians have a love-hate relationship with spiders.

Spider expert Robert Whyte says that young toddlers absorb a fear of spiders from adults around them.

When you’re face scrunches up with fear at the sight of a huntsman, you could be sending warning signals to your children that spiders mean danger.

Robert Whyte is the author of “A Field Guide to Spiders of Australia, Learning to love Spiders.”
