Booming dairy season ahead as milk supply rises

Dairy farmers are expected to enjoy a strong year, recording widespread growth in milk supply across all dairying regions.

A Rabobank report shows production reached 5.35 billion litres between July 2023 and January 2024 – up 2.5% on the year prior.

Rural reporter Sophie Clarke caught up with senior dairy analyst Michael Harvey to hear whether that trend will continue.
