Citrus industry fears tighter border restrictions will have “severe impact” on harvest

The citrus industry fears the tighter border restrictions between New South Wales and Victoria is going to have severe short term impacts on the harvest.

The new restrictions prohibit seasonal workers from crossing the border, and will come into place from Wednesday.

Border communities are seeking urgent clarification from the NSW Government about the definition of a seasonal worker, and what is the “border zone.”
