Despite drought, farm confidence improves

Confidence among the nation’s farmers is up.

The latest quarterly survey by agri-lender Rabobank shows an up-tick in overall rural confidence, thanks to sporadic autumn rain.

But nearly 30 percent of primary producers still expect conditions to worsen over the next 12 months, rather than improve.
